The Court:- The District Panchayat and Rural Development Officer, Dakshin Dinajpur, Balurghat, had recommended the case of the petitioner who is a Gram Panchayat Karmee. The petitioner prayed for inter district transfer. Such recommendation was made to the Commissioner of Panchayat and Rural Development, West Bengal, by a letter dated June 9, 2022. The petitioner alleges that no decision has yet been communicated to the petitioner in this regard. Being aggrieved, the petitioner has approached this Court. Without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner for transfer, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Commissioner of Panchayat and Rural Development, West Bengal to dispose of the issue. The same shall be considered in terms of service

rules applicable to gram panchayat Karmees and a reasoned decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. A copy of the writ petition along with the server copy of this order be served upon the Commissioner of Panchayat and Rural Development West Bengal within a week from date.

WPO/2876/2022 is disposed of.
