The second order is dated 12th October, 2023 whereby the mandate was extended till 22nd December, 2023. The present application was made during continuation of the mandate.

The parties are now at the stage of arguments and learned counsel appearing for both the parties seek further extension of six months for the learned Arbitrator to make and publish the Award.

Considering the fact that the reference started in 2020 and that this is the third extension, the Court is not inclined to accept the prayer made on behalf of the parties for a long extension.

The learned Arbitrator will be at liberty to impose strict timelines on the parties to complete their respective arguments. AP/863/2023 is accordingly allowed and disposed of by extending the mandate for four months from today.
