,...for the respondent nos. 1. 4 and 5 The Court: Mr. Ghosh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the High Court Administration, respondent nos. 1,3,4, and 5 submits that as per the recommendations of the Administrative Committee dated December 21, 2022, the names of the petitioners have been recommended in the merit list for Normal Promotion. The Registrar General was directed to take steps and move the Government for issuance of the appointment orders in favour of

the petitioners. It was unanimously resolved that the three unfilled vacancies of Direct Recruitment from Bar (DRB) quota of District Judge (Entry Level) for the year 2021 were to be filled up by recommending the names of three officers.

The note sheet of the Learned Registrar General dated January 16, 2023 as handed over in court today is retained with records. Ms. Bhattacharyya, learned Sr. Government Advocate, appears on behalf of the State in WPO/2592/2022. Mr. Mukherjee, learned Additional Government Pleader, appears on behalf of the State in WPO/ 3077/2022. It is expected that the State of West Bengal/the respondent no.2 would take necessary steps for expeditious appointment of the District Judge (Entry Level).

With the directions aforesaid, WPO/2592/2022 and WPO/3077/2022 are disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been directed to be filed in the said writ petitions, all the allegations contained therein are deemed not to have been admitted by the parties.
