The Court : From the report of the District Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman it has been established that the petitioner is the son of late Khedu Bhuia/the deceased employee of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL). Mr. Ghosh, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that there is no dispute with regard to the identity of the petitioner. Mr. Arefin, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the ECL fairly submits that since there is no dispute with regard to the identity of the petitioner, his prayer for compassionate appointment will be considered by the ECL. ECL is already processing his file.
In such view of the matter, let WPO 3144 of 2022 be disposed of with the directions that the process for compassionate appointment should be completed not later than a period of six months from date taking into
account the fact that the petitioner's father died-in-harness on April 24, 2017, subject to compliance of all the necessary formalities by the petitioner.
With the directions aforesaid, WPO 3144 of 2022 is disposed of. Since no directions have been given for exchange of affidavits, all the allegations contained therein are deemed not to have been admitted by the parties.
