Mr. K.M.B.Jayapal ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents January 07, 2026 [AKB] Item No.2 The present petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent No.2 to mutate 'Occupancy' bearing Survey No. 190/1, measuring an Area of 1.9000 hectares situated at village Pokha Dera village, under Mayabunder Tehsil and consequently recording the name of writ petitioner in the relevant statutory land record as 'Tenant' in respect of subject land as per the 'WILL' dated 23.01.2024 executed by late Ponse Sivakumar. The learned counsels submits that the respondent No.2 has not decided the online application dated 29.12.2025 in this regard.

Ms. Babita Das, learned counsel has appeared for opposite party Nos. 1 and 2 and submits on instruction that the online application of the petitioner dated 29.12.2025 in this regard shall be decided in accordance with law within eight weeks.

Learned counsel for the opposite party has submitted that the statement made by her are without prejudice the

contention made by the petitioner in this writ petition and the same be kept open.

In view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the opposite party, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would satisfy if the appropriate direction is issued in this regard.

Learned counsel submits that the Tehsildar may also consider the averments made in the present writ petition while considering the online application dated 29.12.2025. In view of the submission made, let the copy of the representation be forwarded to the Tehsildar. The Tehsildar, Mayabunder Tehsil is directed to decide the online application dated 29.12.2025 of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within a period of eight weeks. The contentions made in the writ petition are left open.

The writ petition is disposed of.
