Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and respondents.

Mr.

Mishra, learned advocate representing the respondents submits the application seeking electricity connection does not bear seal and signature.

The grievance of the petitioner is non-supply of electricity on installing meter and at present petitioner is living without electricity.

Having perused the writ application and in consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, this court finds that no useful purpose will be sub-served in keeping the matter pending. Hence, writ petition stands disposed of granting leave to the petitioner to make an application for new electricity connection before the concerned Assistant Engineer, being respondent no.3 by seven days from date. 5.

If such application is made by the petitioner, in that event, the respondent no.3 shall decide such application in accordance with law by fortnight from the date of receipt of

such application and the decision to be communicated to the petitioner by one week thereafter.

The concerned Assistant Engineer is required to pass a reasoned order in the event petitioner's application is rejected. 7.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocate appearing for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
