Sivabalan ... for the respondent No. 2 March 23, 2022 [GNC] Item No.7 This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering the representation of the petitioner dated December 16, 2021. Upon perusal of the record and upon hearing counsel appearing on behalf of the parties, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of with a direction upon the respondent authorities concerned to pass a reasoned order after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from date.

Needless to mention, if the order is in favour of the petitioner, the authority shall ensure that the family pension is started within a period of six weeks from the date of passing of the reasoned order. Furthermore, the arrear pension should also be paid within a period of six weeks from the date of passing of the reasoned order.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. ( Shekhar B. Saraf, J. )
