The grievance of the petitioner is an application for new connection to provide electricity has been made on 2nd December, 2024 but till date, respondent authorities have not taken steps to install meter and provide electricity. 4.
Having perused the application and in consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, this court finds that no useful purpose will be sub-served in keeping the matter pending. Hence, writ petition stands disposed of directing the concerned Assistant Engineer being respondent no.2 to decide the application of the petitioner in accordance with law by fortnight from the date of communication of this order and the decision to be communicated to the petitioner by one week thereafter.

The concerned Assistant Engineer is required to pass a reasoned order in the event petitioner's application is rejected. 6.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocate appearing for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
