The Deputy Commissioner and others Mr. K.Vijay Kumar .... for the petitioner Mr. V.D.Sivabalan ... for the respondents January 18, 2024 [SR] Item No.5 The petitioner is aggrieved by the inordinate delay on the part of the Tehsildar, Port Blair Tehsil, Port Blair in disposing of the application for mutation of the land filed by the petitioner, on the strength of a Will dated December 14, 2010. The said application was filed on March 23, 2021. A copy of the same has been annexed to the writ petition at page 19 as Annexure P-4. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Tehsildar, Port Blair to dispose of the application for mutation of the land, which was already filed before the authority, within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order. The authority shall act and proceed according to law. Needless to mention, an opportunity of hearing shall be given to all the parties interested in the property, as per procedure. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated within a week, thereafter upon all the affected parties.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. ( Shampa Sarkar, J. )
