The Union of India and others Mr. Shatadru Chakraborty Mr. Dibesh Dwivedi ... for the respondents June 21, 2024 [SR] Item Nos.30 It is submitted by learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 an 3 that the affidavit-in-opposition affirmed by Smt V.Sheeja filed previously, being defective, be ignored. By relying on the affidavit-inopposition filed and affirmed by Shri Vikram Singh, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the writ petition has become infructuous.

It transpires that the ambit of the dispute was that appropriate steps and enquiry were not being taken in respect of the private respondent. From the affidavit-in-opposition affirmed by Shri Vikram Singh, it is evident that such enquiry has taken place and appropriate proceedings have been initiated and the report in that regard has also been submitted.

A copy of the enquiry report in that regard is also annexed to the affidavit-in-opposition and marked as Annexure 'A'. Hence, as rightly pointed out by learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3, nothing remains further to be agitated in the writ petition as the grievance of the petitioner has been substantially satisfied. Accordingly, WPA/77/2024 is disposed of as infructuous. Let the affidavit-in-opposition affirmed by Smti V.Sheeja be treated to be expunged from the records.
