This writ petition has been filed seeking a directive to Respondent No. 2 to mutate the land bearing Survey No. 76/2, comprising an area of 200 sq.mtrs., situated at Prothrapur village under Port Blair Tehsil, South Andaman District, in favor of the petitioner, as per the registered will. 2.

Ms. G. Mini, learned Advocate representing the petitioner, submits that upon receipt of the application, follow-up actions, including the issuance of Form 'J' and Form 'K,' were taken. However, she contends that no effective steps have been taken thereafter to conclude the proceeding. She further submits that an appropriate direction be issued to the concerned respondent to expedite the disposal of the proceedings.

Ms. Babita Das, learned Advocate representing the respondents, submits that if such a direction is given, the respondents will not object. 4.

Having heard the learned Advocates representing the parties and upon perusal of the materials on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing Respondent No. 2 to conclude the proceeding initiated based on the application made by the petitioner on 06.02.2023, within two months from the receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity for hearing to all interested parties.
