Mr. M.K. Thakur, learned counsel appears for the petitioner. Mr. S.C.Mishra, learned counsel appears for the electricity department.

At the outset, it is pointed by the electricity department that the application submitted by the petitioner for obtaining electricity connection has already been rejected with reasons on January 15, 2025. The decision for rejection submitted in Court today is taken on record.

From the reasons for rejection mentioned in the said decision of the electricity department, this Court directs the electricity department that subject to compliance and fulfillment of the terms of the electricity department on which the application has been rejected, and subject to compliance of all statutory formalities, the electricity department shall immediately provide electricity supply to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of completion of such formalities by the petitioner.

In the event, any default in payment takes place on the part of the petitioner in respect of the statutory charges and

levies, the electricity department shall be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law.

It is made clear that this order shall not create any right or equity in favour of the petitioner in claiming any right, title and interest over and in respect of the subject immovable property.

These conditions shall also bind the transferee/assignee and/or successor/successors in interest of the petitioner.

On the above terms this writ petition being WPA/75/2025 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.
