Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is presently without a water tap connection and is having to fetch water from a nearby public water source. Counsel submits that the Port Blair Municipal Council is not acting on any of the representations/application made by the petitioner in this connection.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 submits that the petitioner has not approached the respondent no.1 at all with any application for water tap connection or otherwise.

Considering the submissions on behalf of the parties, WPA/85/2024 is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent no.1/Port Blair Municipal Council by 2nd February, 2024. The respondent no.1/Port Blair Municipal Council will dispose of the application within 8th February, 2024.

WPA/85/2024 is accordingly disposed of on the above terms.
