The petitioner claims that the post of Painter is lying vacant under the Municipal Council, Port Blair.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, WPA 105 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the appropriate authority of the Port Blair Municipal Council to consider the representation of the petitioner dated October 30, 2023 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicating the same immediately thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of six weeks from the

date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated 30th October, 2023 which is appearing at page 69 of the Writ Petition. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
