The grievance of the writ petition is that the Tehsildar, Ferrargunj, District South Andaman without giving any opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner decided to close the application for demarcation without disclosing any reason. 2.

It is a fact that an application for demarcation was filed and pending before the Tehsildar. However, Annexure P-4 shows the status of the said application as 'closed'. 3.

The petitioner is entitled to know the reason for disposing of the application as 'closed' which in effect means that his prayer for demarcation was not allowed.

On such consideration, this Court directs the respondent no.3 to dispose of the application for demarcation dated 04.12.2024 by a reasoned order after giving opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 5.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter.

Since affidavits are not called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

The writ petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
