The said report has been perused and is taken on record. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.1 has drawn the attention of this Court to paragraph 11 of the report, wherein a clear policy decision has been communicated. Paragraph 11 of the said report, is reproduced below:- "11. That it has been stipulated that - students admitted up to 2025-26 batch shall continue under Pondicherry University and receive degrees from it; From academic year 2026-27 onwards, the admission brochure may state that admission shall be under the aegis of NSCBIHL (Deemed to be University), Port Blair and students shall be getting their degrees from NSCBIHL (Deemed to be University), Port Blair."

Upon consideration of the stand taken by the respondent No.1, this Court is satisfied that the grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant writ petition stands redressed. In view of the fact that cause of action does not survive any further, no further adjudication is required.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, respondent No.1 shall remain bound by the stand taken in paragraph No.11 of the report filed before this Court. (Smita Das De, J.)
