1. Learned advocates appearing on behalf of the parties to this writ application are present.

2. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that the issue involve in this writ application is pending before the Sentence Review Board of Union Territory.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that necessary direction be given to the Board for taking decision in the month of April, 2024.

4. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents has submitted that higher officials of the Administration being the members of the Board will remain busy in ensuing election.

5. Considering all facts and circumstances, Board is directed to take decision on the issue of remission of sentence in respect of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within a month of May, 2024 but not beyond 10th June, 2024.

6. With the aforesaid observation writ petition is disposed of.
