1. This is an application, inter alia, praying for expeditious disposal of the Guardianship Case No. 01 of 2024 pending before the learned Judge, Family Court, South Andaman at Port Blair.

2. Considering the nature of relief sought for, the present application has been taken up for consideration without prior service of notice on the opposite party.

3. Noting that the petitioner claims to be the only natural guardian of his minor daughter and his wife having expired on 19.09.2023 and also considering the age of the minor, I am of the view that the present proceedings being Guardianship Case No. 1 of 2024 should be heard out and disposed of expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.

4. The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this application on the opposite party along with this order and to intimate the factum of service thereof to the learned Court.

5. With the above observations and directions the application being CO/17/2025 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
