The records of the case reflect that the case was initiated in the year 2012.

It has been submitted by Mr.Gobind, learned Advocate who usually appears on behalf of the Central Bureau of Investigation that in this case the police authorities have relied upon 70 witnesses and out of said 70 witnesses 27 witnesses have already been examined.

Having regard to the fact that for the last two years the regular process of Trial Courts were slow, I am of the opinion that at present the Trial Courts should not be burdened with specific a direction or a time frame for completing the trial. However, the Trial Court should take steps so that within a reasonable period of time the trial of the case is taken to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR/11/2022 stands disposed.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

Parties are directed to act on the server copy of this order duly uploaded on the official website of the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court.
