This writ petition has been filed primarily on the ground of inaction of the part of the respondent authorities in considering the application filed on 17.03.2026 praying for providing electric connection to the dwelling house of the present petitioner.

The learned advocate in course of hearing of the matter submits that in the application due to mistake the connection category has been mentioned as 'commercial' when it should have been 'domestic and prays for giving liberty to make a fresh application.

Heard the submission .It is seen that the application was essentially filed in order to procure the electric connection at the dwelling house and hence it cannot be the commercial connection.

Therefore liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application with the necessary documents before the

respondents authorities after withdrawing the application pending for disposal. The respondent authority is further directed to dispose the said application within a reasonable period of time preferably within 4weeks from the date of receiving such application after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner if necessary.

Since no affidavit has been called for the allegations contained in the writ application are deemed to have been not admitted.

Hence this writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction.
