An application for correcting the record of rights and mutating the lands in terms of the final decree was filed before the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram, South Andaman on 6th February, 2025.

The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that the said application has not yet been disposed of and mutation has not taken place on the basis of the final decree for partition. 3.
All relevant documents including the terms of settlement filed in the partition suit on the basis of which a the decree was drawn up was submitted along with the application in order to enable the Tehsildar to correct the record of rights in accordance with the share declared in the final decree for partition.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Tehsildar, has submitted that the said application is under process and appropriate notice shall be served to all the interested parties before a final decision is taken in this regard.

In view of the aforesaid, this court disposes of this writ application by directing the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil (Pot Blair) South Andaman to dispose of the said application after hearing of all necessary interested parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6.
Since affidavits are not called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
