Arul Peter .... for the petitioner Mr.Tulsi Lall Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondent February 29, 2024 [SR] Item No.7 This is an application praying for a direction upon the respondent authority to dispose of a representation and to provide electricity in the dwelling house of the petitioner standing on Survey No.9 area 300 sq.mtrs situated at Adajig, Baratang, Rangat Tehsil, North and Middle Andaman District.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is occupying the above referred property in question. She sought electricity connection by her representation dated 18.08.2023. The same has not been responded to as yet. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent authorities submits that the representation shall be considered in a short time and necessary electricity connection can be provided only if required formalities are complied with from the end of the petitioner.
In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authority to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated
04.08.2023 within a period of four weeks from this date. The respondent shall give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner before passing a reasoned order which shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of making such decision. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the judgment, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all legal formalities. All the parties shall act on the basis of server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble Court.
