Ms. Vinita Devi ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents March 13, 2026 [SR] Item No.2 Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners draws the attention of the Court to the representation as made to the Secretary (Industries), A & N Administration, Secretariat, Port Blair, being the respondent no.2. The annexure to the writ petition reflects that the same was received on 2nd February, 2021 by the office of the respondent no.2.

It has been contended that till date, no communication has been made in respect of the prayer advanced by the petitioners.

Having considered the plight expressed by the petitioners, I direct the respondent no.2 to dispose of the application of the petitioners within a period of eight weeks from date and communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of two weeks thereafter.

In case the application of the petitioners is not traceable in the office of the respondent no.2, a copy of the said

representation be handed over by the petitioners to the office of the respondent no.2, who would dispose of the same, in accordance with law.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been not admitted by the respondents.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA/123/2026 is disposed of.
