In the second call, the matter is taken up for consideration in the absence of the petitioner as the petitioner remains unrepresented since the same is a criminal revisional application and keeping this application pending by granting adjournments is likely to be an impediment in the criminal proceedings being proceeded with before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Port Blair.

In this revisional application, the petitioner has sought for quashing of the FIR registered against him on 17th December, 2023 under section 25(1B)/(a)(g) of Arms Act 1959 at Aberdeen Police Station pursuant to the written report of the Central Industrial Security Force (in short 'CISF') after arresting the petitioner on having seized a live ammunition.
