The petitioner has filed an application dated 30th April, 2024 before the Collector, Land Acquisition, South Andaman regarding de-notification of the land which was acquired for Filtration Bed at Prothrapur Village.

The petitioner appears to have filed an application for mutation of the landed property on the basis and pursuant to the judgment and decree passed by the Civil Judge, Senior Division.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, in spite of the judgment and decree passed by the Civil Court, the authorities are not de-notifying the land in question and sitting tight over the application dated 30th April, 2024.

On such consideration, I direct the Collector, Land Acquisition, South Andaman to dispose of the representation dated 30th April, 2024 filed by the advocate on record of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties by a reasoned order.

The Collector shall communicate the final order to the writ petitioner within one week from date of passing of the reasoned order.

Since affidavits are not called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

The writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
