Kumar ... for the respondents March 12, 2024 [AKB] Item No.9 The petitioner seeks correction of record of rights in respect of the relevant land following a licence to occupy a plot of land in a de-reserved block issued by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Middle and North Andaman, Mayabunder.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that this case may be disposed of in terms of the judgment and order dated January 17, 2024 passed in WPA/42/2024 (Nirmal Halder - vs - The Lieutenant Governor and Others) by a Coordinate Bench of this Court.

Mr. Arun S. Kumar, learned Advocate representing the respondent submits that he has no objection if a similar order is passed since the facts involved in this case are similar to the facts involved in Nirmal Halder (supra).

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the following orders.

The Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder, shall treat the writ petition as a representation of the writ petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law, upon hearing the petitioner as also the Sub Divisional Officer, Middle and North Andaman and the Divisional Forest Officer, North and Middle Andaman, Diglipur. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.

This court has not gone into the merits of the issue involved. As directed, the authorities should decide the matter. None of the allegations are deemed to be accepted.

The writ application is accordingly disposed of. No order as to cost.
