Mishra ... for the respondents June 11, 2025 [AKB] Item No.14 This writ petition is filed seeking direction upon the respondent authorities to provide electricity connection to the house of the petitioner situated at government revenue land bearing survey No. 1/P, area 200 sq. mtrs in Sita Nagar, Attam Pahad, Dollygunj, Port Blair, South Andaman District in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Amit Malhotra, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner seeks for specific direction upon respondent authorities to provide electricity connection to the petitioner forthwith in his house comprised within aforesaid propertyin-question. On the contrary learned advocate representing the respondent-authorities submit that the application for electricity connection submitted by the petitioner has already been rejected by the authorities. However, liberty may be granted to the petitioner to submit application for electricity connection afresh. He files the application status which is taken on record.
The application status of the petitioner shows that the same has been rejected and in the remarks column the petitioner is asked to submit proof of occupancy of the premises.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to submit fresh application for electricity connection in the premises-in-question as per requirement of the authorities within a fortnight from the date of this order and upon submission of such application,
the authorities shall consider the same in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observation the writ petition being WPA/167/2025 is disposed of.
Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
All connected application, if any, stand disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order if applied for be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
