The petitioner in effect seeks correction of his date of birth after his retirement.

The petitioner was a Mazdoor in the Department of Electricity attached to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The petitioner claims to have retired from service on 1st January, 2023. It is long after his retirement that the instant writ petition has been filed with an object to squeeze out additional years of service. It is well settled that correction of date of birth at fag end of a service career is not permissible. In the instant case the petitioner after his retirement is seeking to alter/correct his date of birth. 3.

No statutory document has been disclosed by the petitioner in support of his contention.

No objection was also raised by the petitioner at time of his retirement as regards his date of birth as recorded in his service book.

Having regard thereto, I find that there is no scope to entertain the present petition.

The same is accordingly dismissed.

There shall however, be no order as to costs.
