Governor and others Mr. Adarsh Ilango Ms. Sohini Biswas Mr. Deb Kumar Bawali ... for the petitioner Mr. Rakesh Kumar ... for the respondent No.1 April 21, 2026 [AKB] Item No.22 The writ petitioners in the instant case have prayed, inter alia, for the regularisation and the grant of 1/30th of the minimum of the relevant pay scale plus applicable dearness allowance from the date of their initial appointment. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that in terms of the order dated 23.03.2026, during the pendency of this writ petition the representation submitted by the petitioner before the respondent authorities has already been considered and a decision has been taken by the authorities, which has also been communicated to the petitioner.

Since the grievance of the petitioner in this present petition has already been addressed, the petition is rendered infructuous as the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed.

However, it is made clear that since the prayer made in the writ petition pertains to the regularisation and the grant of 1/30th of the minimum of the relevant pay scale plus applicable dearness allowance from the date of their initial appointment,

the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the Labour Court for appropriate relief if so advised in accordance with law. With the aforesaid liberty, the writ petition and the connected application being CAN/1/2026 are disposed of as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. (Smita Das De, J.)
