Mishra ... for the petitioner Mr. V.D.Sivabalan ... for the respondent no.5 & 6 Mr. S.Karmakar ... for the respondent no.4 June 30, 2022 [SR] Item Nos.3 The grievance of the petitioner is against the alleged inaction of the respondent authorities in investigating a complaint filed against the Andaman and Nicobar Fisheries Cooperative Federation Limited.

It is an admitted position that by a Notification dated 11 August, 2016, the petitioner has been nominated as a member of the Managing Committee of the self same Federation i.e. Andaman and Nicobar Fisheries Cooperative Federation Limited.

In view of the aforesaid, we are not inclined to entertain this application as a Public Interest Litigation. We are also of the view that in any event, the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy under Section 156 (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA (P)/2/2022 stands dismissed on the ground of maintainability. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
