Mishra ... for the respondents April 10, 2025 [SR] Item No.8 The present writ petition has been preferred alleging inaction on the part of the respondents to grant electricity connection to the petitioner, who is residing in her dwelling house constructed over the government revenue land bearing survey No. P/1, as detailed in paragraph 3 of the writ petition. Mr. M. K. Thakur, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that though an online application has been submitted for grant of such electricity connection on 2nd April, 2024, the respondents have not taken any follow up steps and aggrieved thereby, she has preferred the present writ petition. Mr.

Mishra, learned advocate appearing for the respondents, however, submits that since the petitioner did not submit her ration card or electoral identity card having the same address as proof of occupancy of the premises for the purpose of releasing electricity connection, the respondents were constrained to reject her application. Such rejection order has already been uploaded in the website. Let the document, as produced, be kept on record.

In reply, Mr. Thakur submits that he had obtained the ration card on 22nd November, 2024 and that as such now there can be no hindrance for consideration of her application. In the above conspectus of facts, no interference is called for in the present writ petition and the same is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh online application along with all relevant documents. Needless to observe, in the event such application is submitted, immediate steps shall be taken by the respondents towards grant of electricity connection in her favour, in accordance with law.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the parties as expeditiously as possible, upon compliance of all formalities.
