This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner who claimed to belong to a very poor Section of the society and deprived of essential amenities like electricity, despite filing an application for electricity.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that an online application was submitted on March 18, 2025 to the respondent authority along with all necessary document. However, no electricity has been provided and the application has not been disposed of.

Accordingly this writ petition has been filed. 5.

On behalf of the respondent authorities learned advocate submits that the house is still under construction and the necessary wiring regarding to supply the connection is not in existence. However, no such instruction in the form of affidavit has been filed before this Court.

Heard the submissions of the respective learned counsels. The petitioner claimed to be an encroacher of a Government Revenue Land bearing Survey no. 1/P measuring an area of 1000 sq.mtrs situated at Jirkatang no.2 village and he constructed a house thereon. The online application is pending since 18.3.2025.

Therefore since the issue has been raised regarding the deficiencies in supplying the connection, the application pending since November, 2025 ought have been disposed of making an inspection to the house of the petitioner and could have been dealt with accordingly considering the electricity being the basic amenities.

Accordingly, respondent authority No.3 is directed to dispose of the application dated 12.11.2025 filed by the petitioner positively within a period of three weeks from this date either by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or by providing electricity connection, if otherwise he is eligible within such stipulated time.

Hence the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction.

Since no affidavit has been called for the allegations contained in the writ application are deemed to have been not admitted.

Parties are directed to act on the serve copy of this order to be downloaded from the official website of this court. 12.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
