Mr.Chakraborty is appearing on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor and others, the appellants in this case. He relies on the order passed by the Supreme Court dated March 9, 2022 wherein the Supreme Court allowed the appeals against the order passed by the Division Bench in similar matters that has raised the same issues in the writ petitions filed herein.
With consent of both the parties, WP No.212/2021 and WP No.288/2019 are treated to be on the day's list. Mr.Kabir has also submitted that he has instruction to withdraw both the writ petitions.
In the light of the same, both the writ petitions bearing WP No.212/2021 and WP No.288/2019 are dismissed as withdrawn. In the light of the same, MA No.26 of 2021 has become infructuous and is also dismissed as infructuous. Interim applications bearing CAN/1/2021 and CAN/2/2021 are also disposed of and all interlocutory orders are vacated.
