The writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent authorities to register the sale deed as was presented on 20.01.2026 in respect of the land bearing survey No. 152, measuring an area of 0.0200 hects., out of total area of 0.2500 hects.

It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the disputed land and he obtained one occupancy right report for the purpose of execution of a sale deed. Such deed was executed in between the petitioner and the performa respondents and it was placed for registration before the office of the Sub Registrar, Diglipur, North Andaman on 20.01.2026. The petitioner also paid the registration fees amounting Rs. 20,015/- vide banker cheque No. 144013, but despite that such registration has not yet been completed. To that extent one representation was also made before the concerned authority on 12.02.2026 which is still pending.

The learned advocate representing the respondent on the other hand submits that there are some procedural defects in the office of the Sub-Registrar, however, the representation will be disposed of at an earliest.

Considering the facts and circumstances and the submission made on behalf of the Respondent, without calling for the affidavit-in-opposition this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Sub Registrar, Diglipur, North Andaman to update the pending land registration of the sale deed as per the representation dated 12.02.2026 at an earliest preferably within a period of four weeks from date after giving an opportunity of hearing to the present petitioner if at all necessary.

Hence the writ petition stands disposed of.

Since no affidavit has been called for the allegations contained in the writ application are deemed to have been not admitted.
