The writ petitioner claims that her husband S.Madhav Rao expired on 12th August, 2021 at Primary Health Centre, Mangluton. She has applied on 13th September, 2021 before the Director, Central Registrar of Birth and Death, Atlanta Point, Port Blair for a death certificate. There is no reply from the said Director till date.

In that view of the matter, Director, Central Registrar of Birth and Death, Atlanta Point, Port Blair shall examine the records relating to the claim of the petitioner, ascertain her identity and pass a suitable order in respect of the petitioner's claim for death certificate. In the event it is found that the petitioner is entitled to the same, let such death certificate be

made available to the petitioner within a period of 45 days from the date of communication of a copy of this order. In any event, if the Director, Central Registrar of Birth and Death, Atlanta Point, Port Blair finds that the petitioner for some reason is not entitled to the same, a reasonable order shall be communicated to the petitioner within 15 days thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of.
