Respondents Mr. Gopala Binnu Kumar ... for the petitioners Mr. Shatardu Chakraborty ... for the respondents July 19, 2022 [SR] Item No.2 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 preferred three applications before the respondent no.4 i.e. the Assistant Labour Commissioner (HQ) (Conciliation Officer), Office of the Labour Commissioner, which are still kept pending, despite the statutory requirement being disposal within the limited period.

Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, WPA/231/2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.4 to decide and dispose of the three pending applications before the said authority, raised on the basis of the three disputes raised by the petitioners' Union on June 25, 2020, March 23, 2021 and April 01, 2021 respectively under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from date. Such disposal shall be in accordance with law.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the contention of the parties in any manner whatsoever. No order as to costs.
