Governor and Others Mr. Gopala Binnu Kumar ... for the petitioner Mr. Sumit Kumar Karmakar ... for the respondent No.5 June 18, 2026 [AKB] Item No.13 In terms of the order dated June 12, 2026, the respondent No. 5 has filed an affidavit of undertaking that the scrutiny of the bills has already been done and the exercise of releasing the payments will be completed within a period of six weeks from date.

On this undertaking of the respondent No. 5, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the authorities to release the payment in favour of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from date i.e. by July 31, 2026. Since, the petitioner is entitled to receive the payment since 2024 and has not been paid the amount, the authorities are directed to pay interest @ 4% per annum from May 01, 2024 till 31 July, 2026.

With the aforestated direction this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
