Mishra ... for the respondents June 16, 2025 [AKB] Item No.16 This writ petition is filed seeking direction upon respondent authorities for providing electricity connection in the dwelling house of the petitioner situated on the land bearing survey No. 95/B situated at Japan Nala village, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District.

Mr. Pardesia Munda, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made an application for electricity connection in his dwelling house before the respondent authorities on 06.12.2024. However, till date the electricity connection has not been installed in the dwelling house of the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition for appropriate direction upon the concerned authorities.

Mr.

S.C.Mishra, learned advocate appearing for the respondent authorities submits that the application for electricity connection submitted by the petitioner is pending with the authorities. He seeks that the matter may be relegated to the authorities concerned for disposing of the application of the petitioner within a stipulated period.

In view of the above submission the writ petition being WPA/227/2025 is disposed of directing respondent No. 3, Assistant Engineer, Sub Division-III, Electricity Department, South Andaman, Sri Vijaya Puram to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 06.12.2024 for electricity connection in his dwelling house within one month from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to the respondent No.3, Assistant

Engineer, Sub Division-III, Electricity Department, South Andaman, Sri Vijaya Puram.

With the aforesaid direction the instant writ petition is disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

All connected application, if any, stand disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order if applied for be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
