IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

CIRCUIT BENCH AT PORT BLAIR CONSTITUTIONAL WRIT JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE WPA 241 of 2025 M/s. Excel Bar & Restaurant Vs.

The A & N Administration & ors.

Adv. Trisha Rakshit, ...for the petitioner.

Sr. Adv. Shatadru Chakraborty (VC) Adv. Dibesh Drivedi, ...for the respondents.

1.

The present writ petition has been filed inter alia praying for a direction upon the respondent no.3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 13th March, 2025 for renewal of Bar License of the petitioner's firm, namely, M/s. Excel Bar & Restaurant in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

2.

Having heard the learned advocates for the respective parties including Mr. Chakraborty, learned senior advocate representing the respondents that the representation made by the petitioner dated 13th March, 2025 is pending consideration, I am of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of by directing the concerned respondent to decide the petitioner's representation in connection with the renewal of Bar license of the petitioner's firm, namely, M/s. Excel Bar & Restaurant by giving an opportunity

of hearing to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order by passing a reasoned order.
