The petitioner in the instant case prays for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to grant a fresh electricity connection against an online application being Annexure P2 at page 21 which has been submitted on 23.10.2025. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities submits that the said application has been rejected on the ground of incomplete wiring and earthing. 3.

In this context learned counsel for the petitioner places a copy of the letter of communication dated 24.04.2026 to demonstrate that the entire writing and earthing has been completed as per required standards. A copy of the letter dated 24.04.2026 has been taken on record.

In view of the above the respondent No.3 is directed to consider and dispose of the said application for a new electricity connection within a period of four weeks since all the necessary corrections have been completed properly by the petitioner and shall pass a reasoned order in accordance with law upon affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other

stakeholders, if any, and communicate such decision within a week thereafter.

However, it is made clear that, if the authority concerned is satisfied with the conditions required for providing fresh electricity connection, the same shall be granted forthwith, preferably within a period of ten days upon payment of all requisite fees.

The writ petition is disposed of without going into the merits of the case.

Parties are directed to act on the serve copy of this order to be downloaded from the official website of this court. 8.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
