Bhawani ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondent June 09, 2026 [AKB] Item No.29 The grievance of the petitioner is that inspite of having made an application before the respondent seeking demarcation of the land in question, the said application has been kept pending without any steps being taken in respect thereof. The application has been made on March 26, 2026. There is a process which has to be undertaken and followed by the respondent in terms of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulations, 1966.
The respondent is directed to undertake the entire process and conclude the same by August 31, 2026 upon due notice of hearing to the petitioner and any other person interested in the land and the adjacent plot holders of the said land by the aforestated date.
With the aforestated direction the writ petition is disposed of. No orders as to costs.
Since no affidavits have been called for the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to be denied.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
