Mini .... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents June 18, 2025 [SR] Item No.6 Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner purchased a piece of land and her name was mutated in the records. She applied for sub-division of the land being survey No. 2639/1/P and Survey No. 2639/2/P measuring area 0.0175 Hects and 0.0025 Hects situated at Shadipur village under Port Blair Tehsil, District of South Andaman as per Sale Deed and Record of Rights. Although a representation in this regard made on 15.01.2025, the same has not been disposed of as yet.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the proceeding has already been initiated and notices issued. The same would be concluded at the earliest. In view of the above, the respondent No. 2 is directed to conclude the proceeding regarding sub division of land as prayed for by the petitioner in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of this order.

As the writ petition is being disposed of without calling for affidavits, the allegations leveled against the respondents shall be deemed to have been denied.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be supplied to the learned counsels for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
