The District Magistrate and Another Mr. Ananda Halder .... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents June 17, 2025 [Manoj] Item No.4 Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted a licence as a Petition Writer. The licence was renewed from time to time. On the last occasion he made a prayer for renewal of licence on 05.12.2024. In spite of the CID having sent a no objection in this regard, the prayer of the petitioner for renewal of licence has not been considered yet.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the appropriate steps would be taken to consider the petitioner's prayer for renewal of licence as Petition Writer at the earliest.

It appears that in spite of necessary report provided by the CID in this regard the respondent authorities have not disposed of the petitioner's application of renewal of licence as petition writer made on 05.12.2025.

In view of the above the respondent no. 1 is directed to consider the petitioner's prayer made on 05.12.2024 for renewal of licence as Petition Writer in accordance with law and at the

earliest, positively within three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

As the writ petition has been disposed of without calling for affidavits, the allegations leveled against the respondents shall be deemed to have been denied.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be supplied to the learned counsels for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
