Mishra ... for the respondents June 10, 2026 [AKB] Item No.10 The petitioner is aggrieved by the order of the respondent authorities rejecting the claim of the petitioner to get electricity connection at his residential premise. It is this rejection of 10th September, 2025 which has been assailed before this Court. This is the second round of litigation in which the petitioner has been embroiled, seeking electricity connection from the authorities.

The order of 10th September, 2025 is cryptic, bereft of any reasons and cannot be sustained on the face of it. The authority has merely mentioned "that the applicant does not meet the requirements prescribed under the above mentioned regulations for the issuance of a new electricity connection for domestic purposes (single phase) hence it is stands rejected." There is absolutely no ground given as to which requirement the petitioner had not fulfilled. The aforestated order cannot be sustained in any manner and is accordingly set aside.

The authorities are directed to consider the application of the petitioner alongwith all requisite documents which have

been submitted by him. In the event, the authorities find that there are any documents which are missing or have not been submitted, they shall seek such documents from the petitioner and consider the application of the petitioner afresh. Such consideration will be made by July 15, 2026 and the resultant order will be communicated to the petitioner by July 20, 2026.

With the aforestated direction the writ petition is partially allowed and disposed of. No order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties on priority basis on compliance of all legal formalities.
