Mini .... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents June 12, 2025 [SR] Item No.5 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. On 11.10.2022, the petitioner made a representation for sub-dividing the land bearing survey No.2570 measuring an area of 0.0213 hectares classified as house site (Abadi) situated at Aberdeen Village under Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) Tehsil, South Andaman District. Hearing was done, lastly on 11.10.2024. Yet, till date, the representation has not been finally decided.
Learned counsel appearing for the Administration submits that a process is on for considering the representation of the petitioner. Field inspection map (Naksha Nazaria) is yet to be received from the Area Patwari.
In the view of the above and in the interest of justice, the respondent no.2 is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2022 in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
It is clarified that merits of the case have not been gone into by this Court.
As the writ petition has been disposed of without calling for affidavits, the allegations leveled against the respondents shall be deemed to have been denied.
With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
Urgent certified copy of this order be supplied to the learned counsels for the parties upon compliance of usual formalities.
