IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

[ CIRCUIT BENCH AT PORT BLAIR ] *** WPA/258/2024 Shri Moti Lall Vs.

The Deputy Commissioner and others Mr. Vinita Devi .... for the petitioner Mr. Babita Das ... for the respondents June 120, 2024 [SR] Item No.11 The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is that the representation of the writ petitioner is not being disposed of by the respondents.

Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that the respondents ought to dispose of such representation by a reasoned order.

Accordingly, WPA/258/2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to decide on the representation dated May 07, 2024 of the writ petitioner, annexed as Annexure P-7 at page 35 of the writ petition, by passing a reasoned order and, if deemed necessary, upon giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest, positively within a period of six weeks from date.

No order as to costs.
