Mr. M.K.Thakur ... for the petitioner Mr. S.C Mishara ... for the respondents July 01, 2025 [AKB] Item No.13 The petitioner has filed the present application for grant of electricity connection. The petitioner submitted that he is in settled possession of the land bearing survey plot No. 1/P at Jawahar Nagar, Ward No. 2, Calicut village, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District and has constructed a house in the said landed property and residing along with family.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has applied for grant of electricity connection on 05.04.2025 and also affirmed the affidavit stating that the petitioner is in settled possession of the said property. But inspite of the same the authority have not provided the electricity connection.

Mr. S.C. Mishra, learned advocate appearing for the electricity department submits that the application of the petitioners is under consideration.

In view of the above the respondent authority particularly respondent No.

2, Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Prothrapur is directed to consider

the application submitted by the petitioner for grant of electricity connection and to provide electricity connection within a period of four weeks on compliance of all formalities.

Accordingly, WPA/283/2025 is disposed of.
