Mr. K.M.B.Jayapal ... for the petitioner Mr. S.C.Mishra ... for the respondents July 04, 2025 [AKB] Item No.2 The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for a direction upon the respondent authorities to provide electricity connection in the residential house of the petitioner standing in a Survey No 345/2 measuring an area of 400 Sq. mtrs. situated at Rabindra Nagar Village, Hut Bay in Little Andaman, South Andaman District.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for grant of electricity connection by an online application No. 29542 dated 28.04.2025 by disclosing all the required documents along with affidavit and undertaking, but inspite of receipt of the said application and the documents the authorities have not provided the electricity connection.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has occupy the said land and constructed a house and is in settled position of the said landed property and prays for grant of electricity connection.

Mr. S.C.Mishra, learned counsel appearing for the authority submits that the application filed by the petitioner is under consideration.

In view of the above this Court is finds that no purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities particularly respondent No.1 to consider the application filed by the petitioner for grant of electricity connection and to provide electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of four weeks on compliance of all formalities.

WPA/292/2025 is disposed of.
