She applied for appointment to the post of Nursing Officer under the Directorate of Health Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration.

She was unsuccessful and has approached this Court alleging that the respondent authorities did not reserve 4% seats for Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.

The issue raised by the petitioner relates to alleged inadequate reservation for PwD candidates in the selection process. This falls within the inclusive definition of service matter under section 3(q) of the Administrative Tribunals Act and is amenable to the jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal under section 19 of the said Act.

Accordingly, I dispose of the writ petition observing it is open to the petitioner to agitate her grievance before the Tribunal in accordance with law.
