Mini ... for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das ... for the respondents July 07, 2025 [AKB] Item No.6 The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for direction upon the respondent No.2, i.e. the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman to demarcate the land bearing Survey No. 38/13, measuring an area of 0.02 hectares, situated at Bimlitan Village, under Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made the representation on 02.02.2024 before the authority for demarcation of a landed property, but till date no demarcation has been conducted. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent authorities have issued the citizen charter, wherein it is noted that the demarcation shall be completed within 25 days, but in the present case more than one year has passed, the authorities are not demarcated the landed property of the petitioner till date.
Ms. Babita Das, learned Government Pleader submits that some time is required for demarcation of the landed property as notices is to be issued to the side plot holders. Heard the learned counsels for the respective parties, perused the materials on record.
This Court finds that the petitioner is the recorded tenant of the land bearing Survey No. 38/13, measuring an area of 0.02 hectares, situated at Bimlitan Village, under Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil, South Andaman District.
The petitioner has applied for demarcation of her landed property by an application dated 02.02.2024, but till date no demarcation has been conducted.
Considering the above, the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil is directed to demarcate the land of the petitioner after issuance of notice to all the side plot holders within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order and on completion of demarcation to supply the copy of the demarcation report to the petitioner within a week thereafter.
WPA/307/2025 is disposed of.
